"Best thing I bought: Technically, my mom bought it, but it’s this sweater." Suzy always gives 2-3 LOL moments per article. Hope to read more of her this year.
Come out to our river in SW Montana and go fly flshing. I have a single Jewish nephew who is a helicopter pilot for the Coast Guard at the Cape. We could arrange for him to be there, fly fishing away, as all of my kids, nephews, nieces and grandkids do year around. And if not, Happy Hannukah to you and yours.
The great thing about being (kinda) old is recognizing that America has been through dark times before. (Jimmy Carter years for hostages and inflation; Richard Nixon years for political corruption. Viet Nam war years and the Cold War for feeling like we were on the brink of world-wide destruction.) And, yet, we survive. We innovate. We dust ourselves off and say, "Not on my watch."
It's the The American spirit-- the belief -- actually the conviction won from experience, that we can survive anything with hard work and each other. We're all different. And, yet, we're all the same. We believe in humanity. We believe in our country. And we believe in the irrepressible optimism of Americans, who will stare at the ruins and say, "We'd better get to work."
Merry Christmas and we appreciate your news each day.
An additional college to add to your story that we have discovered thru our New Orleans grandson. Sewanee, University of the South in Sewanee Tennessee. A small but transitional school. Our grandson is a freshman there. You would not be disappointed to check it out among the Tennessee mts.
Thanks for explaing all the "pills". As an old guy, I've been wondering about that. Funny, it's a rehash of Ed DeBono's "Six Thinking Hats" from the '80's. Nothing new under the sun, which I guess goes to the title of Suzie's article.
Thanks for the compilation, Suzy. You’re the Unsung Hero of The Free Press. Love what y’all are doing this week — too often I just read the Front Page and neglect to go back and click the links to read the articles that are summarized at the top of the piece. It’s a good week to catch up on the misses!
The white pill idea is a good one. It might be even healthier to adopt the perspective that missing a concert doesn't count as real pain or loss, that your soul will remain yours and precious no matter how many men you sleep with in a day, and someone who does not value a free press and universal suffrage is not a lost cause but has so far missed the beauty of his fellow countrymen.
I want you getting engaged to be a part of my New Year’s resolution too!!! That merino sweater is perfect!
So, everyone knows The Free Press is the reactionary billionaire funded blue pill, right? And this post is indicative of that? TFP masquerades as the red pill via clever marketing, but really, it's just brought to you by billionaires who want to distract you or win you over to their pet projects. https://www.publicenlightenment.com/p/bari-weiss-brought-to-you-by-billionaires?r=2xd80&utm_campaign=post&utm_medium=web&showWelcomeOnShare=false

Oh, yes, Suzy....The Free Press is super diverse/all different kinds of people....
Nothing about the attack in Germany? Bari/The Free Press is usually super quick on this stuff.
Hey Suzy,

I can't enjoy Christmas knowing we're already past the due date AOC set as part of her progressive end of days evangelism.
The only pill that matters is the one that’s chill. Here’s to an okay ‘25. Merry Christmas, Happy holidays to all!

Best one liner regarding the 2024 Presidential election:
“I haven’t seen a man brutally beat a woman that bad since the Olympics”

Btw, can getting engaged be a goal?
Conclave, a heretical film and typical Hollywood schtick of slapping and mocking Catholicism and Christianity in general. Not a good look Suzy.
Kind of BORING!
Why not just wish all your subscribers happy holidays and give them 2 weeks of free press for free.
Who really cares what the writers think of their experiences during the year.
I am more interested in the subscribers thoughts if the year.
