C'mon Batya, this is a partisan stretch. Let's look at the history. Democrats ran Joe Lieberman as VP over 20 years ago. There are 35 Jewish Democrats in Congress (only TWO republicans), including Senate Majority leader Schumer. Bernie Sanders, a Jew, came close to winning the Democrat nomination in 2016. This year, Josh Shapiro, a practicing religious Jew, was one of the final two candidates being vetted by Democrats for VP, after being nominated by Democrats to be governor of one the largest states in the country.

But Democrats have the problem with Jews? Exactly where are all the Jews that Republicans have put in leadership positions?

The fact that Lieberman was the pick 24 years ago but the Dems couldn't stomach Shapiro in 2024 tells you how the Democrats have regressed.

As for Jews being mostly Democrats - don't worry, between the raw Nazi exterminationist Jew-hatred of its Marxists, combined with the fact that a growing percentage of Jews are Orthodox/Hasidic, the politics will take care of themselves.

Recent polls already show Trump getting 50% of the Jewish vote, and the sampling used often underestimates Orthodox and Hasidim, so I suspect the pro-Trump vote is even higher.

And Bernie and Shapiro simply can’t be put in the same category. Bernie is not observant and far from a staunch supporter of Israel.
