So apparently was Josh Shapiro. On the evidence Kamala Harris and the Democrats were set before the weekend to select him as their candidate for vice president and announce it at a big kickoff in Philadelphia. Since they have to carry Pennsylvania and generally need the votes of some people who are not leftists, the selection seemed obvious to lots of people, an easy slam dunk of a decision. But they picked someone else. The best guess is that having a pro-Israel Jew on the ticket outraged the party’s pro-Hamas leftists enough that Harris found it necessary to drop him. That provides some useful information about her and the party that people should pay attention to. It also provides more evidence that Trump is one way undeservedly lucky SOB.
