I used to think Tokyo was high density until reading the numbers on Gaza. Gaza makes Tokyo seem like rural Montana or Wyoming, a couple of places I have traversed by bicycle many times.

So in such a densely packed area, ever wonder at the relative paucity of casualties. The late analysis of the 45,000 casualties, after discounting Hamas fighters, intentional shields, misinformation and Hamas’ own errant artillery, the actual civilian death toll is under 10,000. Yes, it’s a lot, but peanuts compared to 1,000,000 in Ukraine and Russia.

Most of all, go back to the extremely dense population. It could easily be greater by a factor of 10 to 100 were Israel indiscriminate in pursuing its war with the Hamas terrorists. Give Israel all the credit for REDUCING casualties.
